The Board met on May 6, at the home of Lisa Henry. A secretary's report of the April 8 meeting was read. The report was discussed and accepted. Edith presented a treasurer's report which was also accepted.
Our next scheduled board meeting was set for June 17, 4:30 PM, at Lisa's home.
We have yet to move the rest of the DVAA property from Turners to our storage unit on Wisdom Way (# 602) . This issue was not resolved at the meeting.
Edith presented us with an opportunity for members to participate in a plein aire painting event and show opportunity in Worthington on July 9. Because of the timing of the event, the July Newsletter won't disseminate the information in time for members to participate. Edith will send this information to Kevin, for the website. She also provided us with printed information about The Lake Wyola Art Show and Boat Tours (7/16 - 7/17 rain date). The fee to participate has been reduced to $30. This will be advertised in the July Newsletter.
The board reviewed the additional work of the students from the Tech School and choose the two scholarship recipients: Nicole Fuller (Turners) and Greg Werner (FCTS).
Finally, the board has decided on dates for the monthly meetings for the membership: 7/15, 8/19, 9/16, 10/21 (the third Friday of each month), and Gary has reserved the public meeting room of the Montague Police Station/Firehouse for the first two meetings. The demonstrator has yet to be determined.
